Hi, I’m Nicole. Pleasure to meet you.

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and it’s still one of my favorite places to be. There’s something about the rhythm of this region — the sound of a waterfall on the trail ahead, the salty air rolling in off the coast, a warm cup of coffee on a gray morning — that keeps me grounded. The upper left is where my life has taken root, and where I’ve found the kind of balance that fuels my creativity: part structure, part spontaneity, and always shaped by purpose.

I spent most of my school years balancing academics with back-to-back practices — softball was my first love, then I ventured into volleyball, track, swim team, and even bowling.

Being a student athlete taught me how to lead by example, how to communicate under pressure, and how to be the kind of teammate people can count on. I learned to thrive in high-energy environments, to stay flexible when plans changed, and to put in the work — skills that shaped how I collaborate, lead, and create today.

In college, I was especially drawn to both the technical craft and the deeper meaning behind visual storytelling. After experimenting with a few potential paths, I found my way into the Film Production program at Portland State University, where I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in 2018.

Through my studies of narrative and documentary storytelling, editing, cinematography, and film theory, I learned to think critically about every creative choice: how framing, pacing, and representation shape how stories are told and received.

Through the film program at PSU I had the incredible opportunity to intern at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival with the American Pavilion. Alongside their PR team, I managed their social media accounts and worked with seasoned industry experts, photographers, and videographers to help capture and share the energy of the festival. It was fast-paced, high-stakes, and incredibly fun — and it gave me experience in brand storytelling on a global scale.

After graduating, I found early opportunities through the breweries and taphouses I worked for, where I took on management of their social media content, promotions, and event coverage. That work led to referrals and new projects including branding videos, photography, and digital campaigns for small businesses around the area. It was a hands-on crash course in project management, organization, and creative problem solving, and it gave me the chance to build meaningful relationships with local business owners and refine my creative skillset.

As my family grew and priorities changed, I moved into the corporate world and accepted a role with Corwin Beverage in January of 2022. I led content and campaign strategy across all of their brands until the company was acquired by PepsiCo. Fortunately, I was able to join the team at Meals on Wheels People as the Social Media Specialist in December of that year.

In a short time, the scope of my work expanded significantly — first in response to sudden staffing changes, and later as I stepped up through multiple leadership transitions. As my contributions grew, so did the role. Today, I serve as the organization’s Creative Media & Content Specialist, overseeing branding and content strategy for Meals on Wheels People and The Diner Vancouver.

As my career has grown, so has my perspective on what matters most. The work I do is fueled by more than creativity — it’s grounded in connection, purpose, and the people I show up for every day.

My greatest inspirations are my amazing children, Felix and River. Felix reminds me to seek joy, to trust in timing, and to notice the bright spots in everyday life. River reminds me of the power of flexibility — to keep moving, to shift direction when needed, and to carve my own path forward.

My brand is a reflection of that balance — honoring the luck I feel to do what I love, and the flexibility it takes to truly go with the flow.

If you’re looking for a creative partner who brings clarity, intention, and heart to the work you do, I’d love to connect and see what we can build together.
